Overview

 

The Emory University Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is seeking an experienced Audiologist to develop and oversee a very busy clinical audiology practice. The position requries a PhD or AuD in Audiology. Seven or more years of audiology clinical experience, two to three years of experience in an audiology leadership role. Applicant must have a true passion for building (entrepreneurial spirit, drive to execute, results-oriented). Eligibility to obtain Georgia licensure, ASHA certification prior to start date. Ability to be credentialed by Emory University Medical Staff Office and obtain faculty level appointment with the Emory School of Medicine.

 

The Director, Audiology will assume responsibility for the Audiology Division. Responsibilities include:

 

Facilitate the development, implementation, and on-going enhancement of Audiology (clinical, academic, research missions)

 

Support interdisciplinary as well as interdepartmental collaborative practice

 

Develop research protocols in collaboration with physician providers

 

Manage the audiology clinical budget

 

Foster positive and professional interpersonal relationships with patients, families, physicians, administration, hospital staff, community agency representatives

 

Support clinical education guidelines for Audiology Externship

 

Patient services offered include routine audiometry, advanced audiometric testing techniques, cochlear implant evaluation and programming, vestibular testing and hearing aid dispensing
