Medical Billing Coordinator


Reporting to the Director, Your Claims Solution, the Medical Billing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the execution of medical claims management services to associate practices including insurance verifications, claims submission and management and administrative support.


Medical Claims Management

  • Receive new membership agreements and input into database including status reports
  • Send welcome emails and assist members with initial guidance or questions
  • Conduct onboarding and train new clients on system usage and process
  • Coordinate with Program Sales to identify and help move clients through the sales pipeline
  • Manage customer reporting to support program success
  • Gather missing client information and update database


  • Process contracts, input data in spreadsheets, collect and confirm practice-specific billing information
  • Update files and account access links including agreements and BAAs
  • Prepare reports of daily results for membership on verifications and claims
  • Daily data tracking in spreadsheets to identify and report major variances
  • Create and or update PowerPoint presentations
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence as needed


Education:  High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred  

Experience: Prior experience in general admin and coordination of projects


  • Works independently with minimal supervision; knows when to ask for assistance/guidance
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent follow up/follow through
  • Ability to follow process and suggest improvements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Database manipulation
  • Exceptional listening and customer service skills
  • Ability to articulate clearly; excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with clients in dispute resolution
  • Highly motivated and adaptable
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
