The Medical Billing Director has overall responsibility to establish the strategic vision for building, training, developing, driving and managing the execution and delivery of the Your Claims Solutions program team. This key senior leadership role is responsible for managing, developing, mentoring and inspiring the Medical Billing Manager in his/her role of managing the daily performance of the fast-growing Medical Billing team. This will include managing both client relationships and AHAA Associate Manager relationships for the purpose of driving client (Associate Practice) revenue by increasing opportunity and unit sales within audiology and ENT practices. 



The role will encompass sales analysis and reporting, planning and budgeting, management reporting, forecasting, and various forms of analytical support, including providing that support to customers.  This position will work cross-functionally with several teams with the primary objective of enabling sales leadership to make effective, analytically driven, and strategic operating decisions.


      • Responsible for planning, organizing, reviewing, evaluating, mentoring and training the work of biller/coders within the department
      • Manage and implement staff selection, hiring, on-boarding, training and development
      • Measure and monitor to ensure all key performance metrics are met
      • Provide ad-hoc reporting as directed by sales leadership and/or senior management
      • Innovate and develop new processes and deliverables which have constantly changing requirements and desired values
      • Manage new projects and prepare recommendations based on analysis of metrics and interaction with the intended audience

      Work is performed under the general direction of the President.  Position requires ability to perform with minimal supervision.

      This role directly manages the Medical Billing Manager


Education:  4-year Degree (MBA or Master’s Degree preferred; Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred)

Experience:  Minimum of 12 years successful employment in insurance billing/coding environment required with a minimum 7 years’ experience in a supervisory role to include significant experience in both managing managers and in an analytical role


  • Strong communication skills and a strong worth ethic, able to adapt, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working directly and/or providing support and feedback to customers
  • Sufficient business acumen supporting an in-depth understanding of the organization and our business
  • Organizational skills permitting the effective management of several concurrent projects and priorities
  • Strong systems experience including EXCEL
  • Knowledge of ICD-9&10 and CPT coding
  • Knowledge of multi-specialty billing and coding
